- Daniel Gitau motored his way to victory in the Ekiden 10.2km in Japan. His amazing time of 27:42 means that on an IAAF official course it is possible he may have passed through the 10km in a new world best. This demonstrates what a fantastic talent Daniel is and ir will serve him well in his upcoming races in Europe.

- Gideon Gathimba comes 10th in the Kenyan Armed Forces 12km cross-country: This is a very impressive performance, especially when you think that Gideon is mainly a 1500m runner! The quality of the field was close to the national cross country, which in itself is like running in the world cross country! His time of 36:55.8 shows he has built up good endurance over the winter and may feature in some high class 5000m's (as well as 1500m's) during the summer track season. See the full IAAF report here

- Joseph Gitau ran an outstanding leg in the prestigious New Year Ekiden. His time of 34:59 in the 12.3km was good enough to give him 2nd fastest leg of the day. Read the full story from the IAAF here
- Daniel Gitau (not related) also ran an equally impressive race in the new year Ekiden. When Daniel took over his team was in 19th place. However, passing 15 people and running an impressive 1:07.23 on the 23.2km leg brought his team back into 4th place. This impressive time got Daniel 2nd fasted 23.2km leg of the day.

- Gideon Gathimba wins World Military Games 1500m in India: Gideon storms to victory in the 1500m beating IAAF Super Grand Prix Athletissima in Lausanne winner Shadrack Korir. Full story here (from IAAF)

- Yokohama Japan: Daniel Gitau stormed his way to victory in the final of the 5000m in 13:33.50 despite 35 degrees temperature and 60% humidity. Samuel Nganga also recorded an impressive time of 14:11 considering the conditions. Recovering from a knee injury Stephen Njenga came a credible 2nd in the mens 10,000m, finishing in 29:06 This was a crucial race to Stephen as he has now proven to himself and the rest of Japan that he is back in good shape and a force to be reckoned with.

- Daniel Gitau wins the Ageo half Marathon in 59:58.97: Whilst competing for the Nihon University in Japan, Daniel streaked to victory in the inter-university Half marathon (Ageo Japan). This incredible performance was his first time breaking the hour mark and confirmed Daniel's talent as a World class athlete. Since the race Daniel has expressed his wish to compete in larger half marathons, which will give him the opportunity to lower his PB. At such a young age who knows, the World best could be under threat in the next few years....
